He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Fort Lee; his significant other Jenny Favia; his daughter Sharon Amato; his grandchildren, Neshamah Leili-Biss, Judah Leili, Lauren Amato, Eric Kruty and Justin Kruty; his great grandchildren, Quinn Leili, Daniel Leili, Kylie Kruty, Adrian Biss and Kaili Biss; his daughter-in-law Ann Amato; his children, Michael Amato and Joanne Leili; his grandchildren, Hasedah Leili, Anthony Amato and Joseph Amato; his brothers, Andrew and Ralph Amato; and his son-in-law Joseph Kruty.
