He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederic Wickel and Anne Wickel (McQuiston); and his siblings, Fred, Marianne and Lucille (Marilyn).

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his daughters, Susan Degerdon (Todd), Rosemary Santos (Carlos), Margaret Janaszik (Attila), Carol Johnson (Randy), Marie DeSalvo and Jean Ortiz; his grandchildren, Christopher (Dana), Kelly, Julia, Megan (Brendan), Justin, Mimi, Bryan, Ian, Carly, Katherine, Ryan, Lianna, Sarah, Jena, Toni, Jodi, Keith, Selena and Immanuel; and his great grandchild Siena.
