He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Young and Charles Young; his son Erik Young; and his brother Barry Young. He is survived by: his wife Erika Young; his children, Kristopher Young (Kimberly), Barry Young (Marissa) and Maria Ford (Earl); his siblings, Darlene Walthers (Lew), Kelsie Young (Barbara) and Jody Young; his grandchildren, Erin, Alexis, Erik (Amanda), Haley, Karson, Konnor, Rachael, Raelyn and Ryliegh; and his great grandchild Amelia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
