He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gamblin and Catherine Gamblin; his son Larry K. Gamblin Jr.; and his siblings, Robert, Clarence Gamblin, Catherine Gamblin and Geneva Holmes.
He is survived by: his close friend Barbara Stokes; his children, Alicia Littlejohn (Dana) of Franklin Park, N. J., Cedric Stokes (Tonesia) of Fort Mill, S. C. and Monte Stokes (Monique) of Charlotte, N. C.; and his sister Claudine Gamblin of St. Louis Missouri. He is also survived by 18 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and two goddaughters.
