He was predeceased by: his parents, James, Sr. McDonald and Rose McDonald; his stepmother Pauline J. McDonald; and his siblings, Wayne "Ricky" McDonald, Charles "Charlie" McDonald, Joseph "Joe" McDonald, Marjorie "Margie" Griffin and Diana McDonald.
He is survived by: his children, Eric and Tiaira; his sisters, Lillian B. McDonald of East Orange, NJ and Jeanette R. Smith of Kingston, NY; his sister-in-law Patricia "Pat" McDonald of Kingston, NY; and his close friend Sheri Aquart. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great -nephews.
