We are sad to announce that on February 24, 2023, at the age of 83, Richard A. Koop of Oradell, New Jersey, born in Jersey City, New Jersey passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard A. Koop to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmen Koop and Dick Koop; and his brothers-in-law, Gregg Gaynor, George Spangler, Bill Zeidler and Neil Scancerella.

He is survived by: his wife Jewell (Scancerella); his children, Richard Koop (Julie) and Donna Higinson (Don); his grandsons, Donald, Daniel Higinson, Zachary and Joshua Koop; his siblings, Dolores Gaynor, Loretta Spangler, Janet Zeidler, Carol Ann Niosi and Donald Koop (Lisa); and his sister-in-law Marie Scancerella. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children (http://www.donate.lovetotherescue.org) or St. Jude Children's Hospital (http://www.stjude.org).
