George Materon Obituary
In loving memory of George Materon of Oradell, New Jersey, who departed this world on January 20, 2025 at the age of 93. George leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though George may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those George touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Franek-Materon; his children, Maite Materon-Gardner (Marc), Juani Materon (Mitxel) and Mark Materon (Gloria); and his grandchildren, Amaya, Ander and Melody. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
A reception will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the William G. Basralian Funeral Service (559 Kinderkamack Rd, Oradell, NJ 07649).
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in his memory to the Friends of the Oradell Library.
