It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Rooney of Oradell, New Jersey, who passed away on February 8, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gene Rooney to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his sisters, Catherine Gould and Patricia Reilly. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Rooney; his children, Ben Rooney (Dena), Kenneth Rooney (Kelley) and Jennifer Knipe (Ben); his siblings, James J. Rooney, Mary Ann Hayward, Clare Moores and Maureen Zellweger; and his grandchildren, Emily, Conor, Marguerite, Violet and Zinnia.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Gene's name to Valley Hospice, 15 Essex Road, Paramus, NJ 07652.
