It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Harper McDermott of Old Bridge, New Jersey, born in Nyack, New York, who passed away on August 23, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter A. McDermott and Marion McDermott (Harper); his sister Mary Jane; and his siblings-in-law, Lynwood Watson, Joan and John Glynn.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean McDermott (Meyer); his children, William E. McDermott of Austin, TX and Lindsay M. Richards (Gregory) of South Windsor; his grandsons, Tyler and William Richards of South Windsor; his brother Walter A. McDermott (Ann) of Ramsey, NJ; his brothers-in-law, John Meyer (Hannelore) of East Orleans, MA and Harry Meyer (Barbara) of Emerson, NJ; and his nieces and nephews, Alison Maston (John), Susan Watson, Heather Summerer (Scott), Jamie McDermott (Meghan), Kate Oldak (Ed), Jen Cunningham (Jim), TJ McDermott, Brian McDermott (Gina), Sarah Mancusi (Anthony), Meg Flood (Jonathan), Eric Meyer, Heidi Miller, Craig Meyer (Eleanor), Cary Meyer (Wynne), Chris Meyer (Angie), Kelly Glynn (Matt Janousek) and John Glynn (Laura).
