It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph M. DeZao of Old Bridge, New Jersey, born in West Orange, New Jersey, who passed away on December 2, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph (Evelyn DeZao) and Manalapan; his wife Catherine; his granddaughter Shannon Shapter; his brother Richard; and his brothers-in-law, Frank and Ralph.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph, Lorraine Garbowski (Stanley), Denise Hermans (Albert), Michele Mazzeo (Christopher) and Kathleen Shapter; his sisters, Marilyn Petrucelli and Evelyn Spero; his sister-in-law Arlene DeZao; and his grandchildren, Carrie Ann, Jessica, Christopher (Teressa) of James, A. J., Kourtnie (Luis), Nicholas, Samantha (Ryan), Alyssa (Mike) and Brittany. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
