It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Denise Gillespie of Old Bridge, New Jersey, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on November 28, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Smith and Agnes Smith; and her siblings, John "Jackie" Smith and Patricia McAuliffe. She is survived by: her husband James J. Gillespie; her children, Denise Bradley (Gary), James Gillespie (Christine), Christopher Gillespie (Crystal), Timothy Gillespie (Michelle), Michele Haviland (Daniel), Tara Denworth (Jeffrey), Thomas Gillespie (Aisling Melillo), Erin Rybek (Christopher), Sean, Patrick and John Gillespie; her sister Elizabeth Ann Volpe (Peter); her niece Jaclyn; her brother Michael Smith (Desiree); and her grandchildren, Kelly, Colleen, Ryan, Julianna, James, Natalie, Owen, Aidan, Scarlett, Quinn, Luke, Brady, Jane, Jack, Molly, Kennedy, Emmett, Charlotte, Hannah, Theodore, Emma, Sophie and Olivia. She is also survived by eleven children.
