He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Clare; his children, Jennifer Elig of Rockaway, NJ, William Elig Jr (Dana) of Sparta, Scott Elig of Andover, NJ and Daniel Elig (Ashley) of Sparta, NJ.; his grandchildren, Jaxon, Jade, Tyy and Grant; and his sister Shirley Durfee (Doug) of Hicksville, L. I.. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
