She was predeceased by: her parents, Jakob Kvinlaug and Tomine Kvinlaug; and her sister Klara Stensland of Norway. She is survived by: her husband Donald Schanstra; her children, Dennis (April Schanstra) of Lake Tamarack, NJ, John (Debbie Schanstra) of Wantage, NJ, Betty Scymanski (Gary) of Wantage, NJ and Lisa Hughes (Ray) of Marysville, Ohio.; her grandchildren, Christopher, Johnny, Jennifer, Tim, Ryan, Kevin, Mikayla, Phillip, Dana and Drew; and her siblings, Anna Gilge of Norway, Tonny Engedal of Norway and Tonnes Kvinlaug of Norway.
