She is survived by: her children, Shannon Salter of South Carolina, Porter Jr. (Charise) of Maryland, Lamont Brown (Shalon) of New Jersey and Larteshia Brown of New Jersey; her grandchildren, Shontay, Krystal Salter, Aaron (Kaylyn), Brianna Brown, Omar, Elijah Brown, Malachi and Miles Neal; her great grandchildren, Saree Richardson, Carter and Amira Hope Brown; her siblings, Harvey Mason (Roz), Marvin Mason (Rowena), Darlene Lockett (John), Kenneth Mason (Andrea), Wendy Mason-Harris (Eugene), Hattie Mason-Smith, Octavia Mason, Johnnie Brown (Linda), Floyd Brown (Clara) and Joyce Howard (John); and her aunt Lucille Kennedy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
