He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dolly" Hauter; his children, Donna (George Dowd) of Brick and Richard Hauter Jr. of Brick; his grandchildren, Erin, Daniel, Brittani and Taylor; his great grandchildren, Grace, Addison, Madelyn and Logan; and his sister Eleanore Aras of Red Bank.
