With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Blarr of Ocean, New Jersey, born in Swormville, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 10, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Mary Kabasakalian, Elizabeth Blarr, Carol Woodruff, Barbara Ozimek and Donald Blarr; and his grandson Kevin Blarr.

He is survived by: his wife Carmelle Suzanne (Piette); his sister Ada Koestler; his sons, James Blarr (Christine), Steven Blarr (Lisa) and Richard Blarr (Sara); his grandchildren, Erin Blarr, Julia Blarr, Melanie Blarr, Ryan Blarr (Mae), Josh Blarr, Piper Reardon (Randy), Harrison Blarr (Meaghan) and Jack Blarr; and his great grandchild Lacey Jo Reardon.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home (115 Tindall Rd, Middletown Township, NJ 07748). A Mass was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the St. James RC Church (94 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ 07701).
