He was predeceased by: his mother Eileen Claire Venables (McHugh). He is survived by: his wife Sara Venables (Mittelmann); his children, Michael (Jocelyn Venables), Joseph (Andrea Venables), Alexandra (Josh Gray), Jessica (Brian O'Loughlin) and Samantha (Evan Lang); his grandchildren, Isabella, Lilliana, Everly, Marlee and Blakeleigh; his siblings, Steven (Janice Venables), Thomas (Luane Venables), Scott Venables and Eileen (Edward Lundy); and also, Joseph J. Venables, Michael Mittelmann, Gregory, Ann Mittelmann, Alexander and Pilar Mittelmann. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
