“Phil arranged for me to work with him many years ago when he ran a body shop and used car business on chelten ave. in Germantown. I think it was called "James Motors" before the business moved to to Wayne Ave. and the name changed to "Auto Ranch" Phil was very good to me and was teaching me to manage the used cars and other auto activities. I anticipated an automotive career working with Phil until brother John perpetrated several unacceptable actions which unfortunately prompted me to leave..”

“I have always regretted the dissolution of the fine relationship I had with Phil and recently I had a persistent urge to get in touch with him and thank him for the nurture and opportunity........ he had offered me all those years ago. It is so unfortunate that I did not act on my impulse until too late. I send my sympathy to his family and my pleasant memories of a remarkable person”
