We are sad to announce that on February 26, 2025, at the age of 87, Dorothea Janice Chadwick (Ocean City, New Jersey) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William B Chadwick Jr.; her son Wayne A Chadwick; her parents, Dorothy Wiesenthal and Chris G Wiesenthal; her siblings, Christine Barone and Bradford Wiesenthal; her son-in-law Thomas J Van Langen; and her grandchildren, Nicole Bird and Marcus Cordery.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beth Van Langen and Karen Porter (Herb) of Rio Grande; her grandchildren, Jamie Carty (Brian), Nicole Bland (Josh), Kevin K Bird (Kelly), Katie Hoffman (Ryan), Erik Chadwick (Tina), Andy Etherton, Lori-Beth Silver (Jeff) and Stephanie Sahin (Cem); her great grandchildren, Xander, Benji Cordery, Tabi Carty, Cadence, Murphy Bland, Kevin, David Bird, Jackson, Kaitlyn, Lucas Broschard, Nathan Hoffman, Max, Violet Chadwick, Julian Silver, Austin and Emma Sahin; her great great grandchild Maddie Cordery; and her nieces, Patty Sharpe (Eugene) and Dawn Campbell (Pat).
Visitation was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo (644 South Shore Rd., Palermo, NJ 08223). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Seaside Cemetery (559 S Shore Rd, Marmora, NJ 08223).
In lieu of flowers, Janice wished to have donations made to local animal shelters or Smile Train: Cleft Lips and Palates Charity.
