He is survived by: his parents, Clarke Austin and Aileen Austin (Rock); his daughter Nicole Austin; his aunt Debbie Hughes; his siblings, Paul Austin (Ruth), Cynthia Austin Williams (James) and Alice Austin Richards (Michael); and his nieces and nephews, Alycia, Alexia, Shawna, Mayah, Jason, Seth, Keenan, Jamal and Jayson.

“I am saddened by the passing of David. He gave his "all" when taking care of someone. David spent many afternoons racing to my house for both my husband and me. He would always carry through with me to breathe properly, to calm me down. David was a very kind and compassionate person. I shall never forget him.
