He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia M. Witty and William S. Witty; his son William Christopher Witty; and his granddaughter Alexis Pierce. He is survived by: his wife Nora A. Force; his children, Charleen Bowers, Elaina "Ellie" Sparrow (Tim), Gwen Oravec and Richard Pierce; his grandchildren, Nick, Steven, Troy, Tylor, Tommy, Cody, Serena, Katie, Ashley and Reilly; and his sister Cheryl Wood.
