With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roland Leonard Sparling of Oak Ridge, New Jersey, born in Trenton, New Jersey, who passed away on February 8, 2023 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Roland Leonard Sparling to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen R. Sparling and Roland F. Sparling; his former wife Joan; his wife Madelyn; his brother Frank Sparling; and his son-in-law Ervin Shipps.

He is survived by: his children, Rick Sparling (Jodie), Joy Patterson (Mark), Jill Anderson (James) and Jeri Ships; his grandchildren, April Sparling (Taylor), Joseph Sparling (Bridget), Megan Patterson (Oana), Becky Patterson, Eileen Anderson (Brandon), Robert Anderson, Cody, Dylan and Paul H. Shipps; his great grandchild Dean Richard Sparling; and his sisters, Helen Kramer and Edith Clair. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Roland's name to the New Hope Food Pantry, Milton United Methodist Church, 316 Dover-Milton Road, Oak Ridge, NJ.07438.
