He was predeceased by: his parents, Carolina Nehrings and John Nehrings; and his brother Robert Nehrings. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Miehle; his children, Deborah Houlihan (Christopher), John Nehrings (JoAnn) and Ronald Nehrings (Kelly); his grandchildren, Lauren Willenborg (Steven), John Peter Nehrings (Mindy), Melissa Houlihan, Sarah Nehrings (Chris), Julia Nehrings and David Nehrings; his great grandchildren, Corrine, Stella, Ryan, Madelyn and August; and his nieces and nephews, Linda, Maryanne, Ruth, Richard, John and Bill.
