He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Taran (Vancovich) and Anton Taran Sr.; his wife Joan Taran; his son Anthony Taran; and his sisters, Dorothy and Helen Maciag.
He is survived by: his children, Alan Taran, Kenneth Taran, Daniel Taran (Tina) and Eileen Wagner (Vincent); his grandchildren, Dana Zamor (Paul), Andrew Wagner, Daniel Wagner (Jesse), Brittney Larvins and Jennifer Kuehner; and his great grandchildren, Evangeline, Adelaide, Josephine, Nolan Zamor and Kayley Kuehner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
