She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Jessika, Dan Ackerman and Shantel Coleman; her grandchildren, Evan Caswell, Erian Ibrahim, Suri, Kayden, Kassius Surita and Niko Brisbon; and her sister Anne Ackerman Palmer.

She traveled to Nepal, she volunteered at the KTD Monastery in NY and was involved with the Isha Foundation.
