Irene aka Renee is predeceased by her parents Henry & Catherine Stachowicz and sister Kathleen. She is survived by her son George Lewis and daughters Antoinette and Angelina Accetturo. She also leaves behind six grandchildren: PJ, Caitlyn, Andrew, Jason, Joseph and Ryan along with her brother Kenneth and sisters Carol and Nancy.

A lifelong resident of Essex County , Irene graduated at the top of her class at Chubb Institute for Programming in 1988. She cared passionately about her family and pets and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved going to the casino with her brother Ken and playing the lottery. Irene worked for Kohl's for many years before becoming ill and subcoming to lung cancer. Irene will be missed my many for her warmth, love and compassion that she gave to family, friends and even strangers.

Friends and family are invited to visit McCracken Funeral Home , 1500 Morris Ave Union NJ on Thursday October 21, 2021 from 5-9PM. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Spirit Church , 971 Suburban Road, Union NJ on Friday October 22, 2021 at 10:30AM. Interment to follow at Hollywood Cemetery.

“My mom loved spending time with her grandchildren. There was nothing more important to her . She loved taking trips to the Casino with her brother Ken. My mother was one of a kind. Despite her struggles she always stayed positive for her family . And was there for anyone that needed her even strangers . Irene is survived by her brother Ken, sister Nancy 3 children George, Antoinette and Angelina , and 6 grandchildren PJ, Caitlyn, Andrew, Joseph, Jason and Ryan.”
