He is survived by: his wife Linda Calandra-Porter; his son David S. Porter (Ellen Porter); his stepsons, Michael Tombari (Yona Tombari) and Rick Tombari (Elizabeth Bowen-Tombari); and his grandchildren, Kayla Ames Porter, Sebastian Bowen-Tombari and Alexander Hikaru Tombari.
Bob served seven terms on the Blues Foundation Board of Directors.
