He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Carroll and Delores Bates; his children, Richard "Rick" Carroll Jr. (Janice) and Kathleen "Kathy" Paulsen (John); and his grandchildren, Eric Youschak and Kaci Youschak. He is also survived by his family, friends.
