It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sophie Puchel of North Plainfield, New Jersey, born in Carteret, New Jersey, who passed away on May 18, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Sopko and Nicholas Sopko; and her husband Joseph Puchel, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Puchel of North Plainfield, Laurie Smego (Leonard) of Middlesex and Joseph Puchel, Jr. of South Plainfield; and her grandson Jeremy Puchel of Monroe.
