Richard Ver Hage Sr. Obituary
In loving memory of Richard Ver Hage Sr. of North Haledon, New Jersey, born in Paterson, New Jersey, who departed this world on October 31, 2024 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Ver Hage (Steiginga); and his siblings, Martina Kay, Edwin Ver Hage and Kryn Ver Hage. He is survived by: his sons, Glenn Ver Hage (Cindy) of Midland Park, Richard P Ver Hage Jr. (Lynn) of Okatie, Henry Ver Hage (Heidi) of Midland Park and Roger Ver Hage (Lynn) of Midland Park; his grandchildren, Michael Ver Hage (Katie), Elizabeth Rosendale (Robert), Jason Ver Hage, Tracey Zbierski (Joe), Richard P. Ver Hage III (Kristy), Jennifer Henderson (Brian), Jacqueline Wincowski (Matthew), Nicole Ver Hage, Ashley Fischer (Seve) and Emma Ver Hage; and his brother-in-law William Kay. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial (530 High Mountain Rd, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 10:00 PM at the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery (22-21 Maple Ave, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Richard's memory to Hawthorne Gospel Church - Missions, 2000 State Route 208, Hawthorne NJ 07506.
