With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peter Garrett Berkhout Jr. of North Haledon, New Jersey, born in Paterson, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 1, 2024 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Peter Garret Berkhout, Sr. and Joanna (Struyk). He is survived by: his wife Jean Berkhout; his children, Peter G. Berkhout, III and Cynthia Van Harken; his grandchildren, Richard, Brittany, Ross, Brent, Kaitlyn, Grayson and Addison; and his sisters, Francis Soderberg and Dorothea Berkhout.
