He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmelo Franco and Frances De Franco; and his siblings, Mary Portelli, Genevieve Cirasa and Anthony De Franco.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn De Franco (Barnickle); his children, Mario De Franco (Toni) of Totowa, Carol Rizio (Steve) of Montville and Claudia Heim (Richard) of Montville; his grandchildren, Mario, Julia (Danny DiGiorno), Rachel, Steven and Kurt; his great grandchild Genevieve "Gigi"; and his siblings, Lucille Hogan, Frances "Nick" Freund and Joseph De Franco.
