It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Okida of North Haledon, New Jersey, who passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Maria may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Maria touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, José Gomes of Lima and Maria José of Paula Lima; her husband Roberto Okida; her daughter Karen D'Ettorre (Rocco); and her granddaughter Bella D'Ettorre.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Santangelo Funeral Home (635 McBride Ave, Woodland Park, NJ 07424).
