It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Stokes of North Haledon, New Jersey, born in Midland Park, New Jersey, who passed away on August 8, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Outslay and Gertrude Outslay; her husband John; and her siblings, Lilian Buis, Margaret VanderMeer, Ryer and Frank Outslay.
She is survived by: her children, John Jr. (Jack), Sonja Stokes of Franklin Lakes, Kenneth Stokes of Council Bluffs, IA, Barbara, Daniel Moran of Mahwah, NJ and Mark; her grandchildren, John III, Kim Stokes, Christine Stokes, Gregory, Tina Stokes, Daniel, Langdon Stokes, James, Colleen, Kelly Moran and Christopher; and her great grandchildren, Noah Baker, Madelyn, John IV, Nicholas and Olivia Stokes. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
