He was predeceased by: his wife Beatrice; and his brother Milton Minkema. He is survived by: his children, Lois (Ronald Modelski), Gary of Tallahassee, Lynn (Richard Ver Hage Jr.) of North Haledon and Denise (Anthony Sardinas Sr.) of Savannah, Georgia.; his grandchildren, Tracey, Rich, Dana and Keith; his siblings, Gladys Vermeulen (Bill), Alice Davis (Bill) and Gail Laninga (Dale); and his friend Dottie Balkema.
