He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Joe" and Oswina "Pat"; and his brother-in-law Dennis Chessen. He is survived by: his son Stephen J. Hansen of North Brunswick; his siblings, John (Donna) of East Brunswick, Cathy Chessen of Flanders and Mark (Sarah) of Rahway; his nieces and nephews, David (Sarah), Meghan (Eric), Douglas, Samantha, Cassandra and Suzannah; his great-nieces, Haleigh and Keira; his uncle Harold (Lorraine) of Green Bay, WI; and his aunt Rose McKeever of Colorado.
