He was predeceased by: his parents, Fritz "Fred" Jacobsen and Sidonie Jacobsen; and his brother Henning. He is survived by: his wife Ingeborg Jacobsen (Meier); his stepdaughter Kerstin Werner; his granddaughter Sophie of Pullach, Germany; and his nieces, Kathy Grier, Sandi Geren and Tinker Yeltatzie of Texas.
