He was predeceased by: his parents, Istvan Zahorak and Katalin Zahorak; and his siblings, Istvan Zahorak, Laszlo Zahorak, Illes Zahorak, Maria Zahorak and Anna Zahorak.

He is survived by: his wife Ilona Zahorak; his daughters, Katalin Nagy and Catherine Zahorak; his grandchildren, Jeremiah Alley, Jarod (Kristine Alley), Joshua Alley, Brigitta Nagy (Rolf Schreiber), Katalin Juhász (Nagy) and Rozalia Nagy (Robert Lévai); his great grandchildren, Owen Alley, Adam Lévai, Zalán Lévai, Patrik Juhász, Nora Juhász and Isidora Schreiber; his stepdaughters, Ruth Mamo and Ilona (Zsolt Hriczo); and his stepgrandchildren, Eliana Hriczo and Attila Hriczo.
