He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret; his parents, Stephen Lyon and Ruth Lyon; his son David Lyon; and his siblings, George Lyon and Audrey Schuler.
He is survived by: his children, Mark of Middletown, Delaware and Theresa; his son-in-law Ron West of Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Marilynn, David and Ronnie; and his great grandchild Austin.
