He was predeceased by: his parents, Sara Cespedes Jaramillo and Eugenio Chia Virnes; and his siblings, Maria Ramirez, Hernan Soto, Pablo Chia, Hugo Chia, Doris Chia of Castro, Hilda Chia of Revelo and Jaime Chia.
He is survived by: his son Jose; his granddaughters, Samantha and Olivia; his wife Norma Perez of Chia; his children, Yanira Sanchez, Carolina and Alfi Chia; and his grandchildren, Jose Jr., Isaiah, Elijah, Fabian, Julian Chia and Oliva Sanchez. He is also survived by his wife and children as well as help his friends.
