He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Guilhermina "Willie" Almeida; his children, Deborah Almeida Andriola (Blaise) and Carl David Almeida; his sisters, Natalina Almeida, Maria Jose Bouceiro (Manuel) and Cristina Almeida Rodrigues (Joao); and also Luisa Santos. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
