Garthe in Normandy Beach, New Jersey, born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, who passed away on January 26, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Garthe and Mary Garthe (Mangino); his children, Andrew J. Garthe and Mary Garthe O'Connor; and his siblings, Rita Garthe, Joseph, Mario and William Garthe.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Lesko; his sons, Louis of Reno and Robert; his children-in-law, Katina of Cranbury and Kenneth O'Connor of McGregor, Texas.; and his grandchildren, Andrea O'Connor, Sarah Ritthaler (Marc), Nicolette, Alexandra, Ava and Sean Garthe.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
