She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Reid and Carolyn Suber (Newsome); her sisters, Demetria L. Bagner, Sheila Reid and Carolyn Reid; and her sister-in-law Joyce Folks.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne E. Sims; her siblings, Robert M. Reid, Pierre Reid Sr., Narcissa Alwan and Tamiko Suber; her stepchildren, Tamika Barker and Wayne Barker; her siblings-in-law, Audrey Nelson, Marsha Madison, Yvonne Kerner (Joe) and Rasheed Abdul Jabbar; and her nieces and nephews, Pierre Reid Jr., Kristen A. Reid, Elizabeth D. Nelson, Brianna A. Nelson and Bryant H. Nelson (Victoria). She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Paul AME Church (1203 Harrison Ave, Pleasantville, NJ 08232). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 8th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
