She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Tanis and Anna Tanis; her brothers, William Tanis of North Haledon, Dr. John Tanis of Branchville and Jacob Jr. of Augusta; and her daughter Mary Ann Castimore Lent.

She is survived by: her husband Emery Castimore; her son Dr. Emery Castimore Jr. (Joan Flanagan); her grandchildren, Nathan, Emery and Matthew (Leighanne) of Sparta; her great grandchildren, Henry, Lolly and Robin Sue of Newton; her daughter Candace Moose (James) of Rumson, NJ; her grandson Bradford (Lauren Elizabeth); her great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Tyson; and also, Lauren Ann Riley (Timothy), Lilah and Dane.
