It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John David Grimes (Newton, New Jersey), born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on April 25, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Grimes and Dorothy Grimes (Smith); and his sisters, Elizabeth Baker (Bette) and Patricia Ritchie (Pat). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as his Brothers.
Due to the coronavirus, the funeral Mass and burial in the abbey's Christ the King Cemetery are limited to the monks of the abbey.
