She was predeceased by: her former husband Dr. W. C. Heaton, Jr.; and her brother Herbert Nichols. She is survived by: her children, Benjamin N. Heaton and Nancy H. Breedlove; her granddaughters, Nikki Cooney (Jack), Katie Andrews (Brent) and Bonnie Breedlove; her great grandchildren, Poppy Cooney, Charles Cooney and Porter Andrews; and her nieces, Kathy McNeal (Mike), Christy Carlsen (Tom) and Carolyn Pasterella (Gary).
