He was predeceased by: his parents, James Coursen, Sr. and Anna Coursen; his daughter Georgeanna Owens; and his brothers, James Coursen, Jr., Paul Coursen, Sr., John Coursen, Sr. and Darrell Coursen.

He is survived by: his sisters, Margaret Gould of Branchville, NJ, Carole Coursen of Montague, NJ and Charlene Howey of Sussex, NJ.; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Irwin, Terrance Van Horn and Trudi Van Horn. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial gifts in George's name to the American Heart Association would be greatly appreciated.
