He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Pasquale DeGennaro and Angela DeGennaro (Del Rosso); his siblings, Vito and Maria Patruno (Sergio); his children, Angela Hollander (Ian), David DeGennaro (Sarah) and Sean DeGennaro (James Foucher); and his grandsons, Nathaniel and Micah DeGennaro. He was also cherished by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The United Railroad Historical Society of Boonton, NJ.
