He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Steinhauer and Mary Steinhauer (Peschko); his wife Phyllis A. Spaeth; his daughters, Michele Steinhauer (Tina), Mary Steinhauer-Kula (Antal), Melinda Telli (Atilla) and Melissa Telli; and his grandchildren, Megan Kula, Oliver, Sebastian and Atticus Telli.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to the Newport United Methodist Church.
