It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Reginald Gene Hargrove of Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on November 30, 2024, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Reginald Gene departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Reginald Gene may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Reginald Gene leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma C. Hargrove and Melvin Royster, Sr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Melvin Royster Jr. and Audrey Royster-Dixon; his cousins, Shelia Murray and Sean Murray; his uncle Henry Hargrove (Wallace); and his caregiver Johnnie Hargrove (Leonard). He is also survived by other loving relatives and caring friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the C. H. Harris Funeral Home (5717 US-58, Buffalo Junction, VA 24529). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
